State bodies to develop measures for non-admission of seals' death

Astana. May 14. Kazakhstan Today - The regional commission on investigation of the reasons of seals' death in the Kazakhstan sector of the Caspian Sea recommended state bodies to develop a complex of measures for non-admission of similar cases, the agency reports.

According to the commission version, the most probable reason of the death of sea animals is the virus of plague carnivorous. The presence of virus in the carcasses of dead seals have been established by the examinations conducted by two institutes - the Scientific Research Institute for Biological Safety and the Institute of Microbiology and Virology of Kazakhstan Ministry of Education and Science.

According to the Ministry of Emergency of Kazakhstan for May 10, the number of dead seals in the Kazakhstan sector of the Caspian Sea reached 928.
