Taiwan women celebrated 'No Pants Day' as they rode the subway in their panties, Kazakhstan Today reports.

Almaty. February 24. Kazakhstan Today - Taiwan women celebrated 'No Pants Day' as they rode the subway in their panties, Kazakhstan Today reports.

The famous "No Pants Day" tradition took place in Taiwan last week. The event typically takes place in January, but in Taiwan, they were about a month late. It is rumored that the event was organized by a sports brand promoting its product, Examiner.com reported.

The twenty or so women participating in the event wore only their panties as they rode on the Taipei Metro subway system.

No Pants Day has become a worldwide phenomenom and includes cities like New York, London and Chicago.

The no-pants subway ride is annual event first started in New York City, by Improve Everywhere (often abbreviated IE) - a New York City comedic performance art group which carries out pranks or 'missions' in public places to celebrate silliness. Formed in 2001 by Charlie Todd, its slogan is "We Cause Scenes."
