Two cases of influenza A (H1N1) confirmed in Kyrgyzstan

Vice Minister of Public Health Services of Kyrgyzstan, Sabirzhan Abdikarimov, said at the government session of the commission for prevention of spread of the influenza A (H1N1) virus of Kyrgyzstan, the agency reports.

According to S. Abdikarimov, he received the results of the analyses, which confirmed the presence of the disease. "This is the first case of the disease in Kyrgyzstan registered on August 18. 2 patients with suspicion of acute respiratory virus infection have been hospitalized to the Republican clinical infectious hospital. It was established that a 24-year-old patient was in Dubai from August 10 until August 14. He arrived by an airplane in Almaty and later travelled by a private taxi to Bishkek. He became sick on August 14 and his wife caught an infectious disease as well," S. Abdikarimov said.
