$120 million to be allocated for agrarian science in Kazakhstan

$120 million is planned to be allocated for support of the agrarian science in Kazakhstan. The Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, Akylbek Kurishbaev, informed today during the International Consultants Conference, the agency reports.

Astana. July 8. Kazakhstan Today - $120 million is planned to be allocated for support of the agrarian science in Kazakhstan. The Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, Akylbek Kurishbaev, informed today during the International Consultants Conference, the agency reports.

A. Kurishbaev reminded that 2.7 billion KZT, or $22 million was allocated for scientific research in the agrarian sector of the economy of the country in 2008. 6 billion KZT, or $40 million has been allocated in 2009 for realization of the strategically important objectives on acceleration of the processes of scientific and technical progress from the republican budget that is twice as much than last year.

"$120 million is planned to be allocated for the following years for scientific support and introduction of new technologies in the agrarian sector of the economy," the Minister of Agriculture informed.
