Bishkek. April 11. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan is one of the main foreign trade partners of Kyrgyzstan. The Charge d'Affaires ad interim of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kyrgyzstan Boranbek Albergenov said on Thursday, the agency reports.

According to the embassy of Kazakhstan in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan occupies the second place by volume of commodity turnover in recent years among more than 100 states of the world having foreign trade with Kyrgyzstan. Commodity turnover between two neighboring countries has increased by 42.6 % (up to $516 million).

"Kyrgyzstan manufacturers develop Kazakhstan markets as well. Traditional Kyrgyzstan drinks are sold in large supermarkets of Astana and Almaty," Boranbek Albergenov said.

"The main commodity market of agricultural products of Kyrgyzstan is in Kazakhstan. The two republics have transparent borders. All these are favorable and stimulating factors for further development of mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation. The international centers of frontier cooperation Aysha bibi Chon-Kapka on the border between Zhambyl and Talass oblasts, Auhatty-Kenbulun on the border between Zhambyl and Chu oblasts are expected to diversify trade," the diplomat added.
