Level of inflation kept in limits - government

Kazakhstan government states that it has kept the level of inflation in limits. The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov stated today at the plenary Majilis session, the agency reports.

Astana. May 28. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan government states that it has kept the level of inflation in limits. The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov stated today at the plenary Majilis session, the agency reports.

"The government has accepted principle decision not to admit groundless increase of tariffs for services of natural monopolists this year. If growth by objective reasons is inevitable, we will allow it, but in such limits that inflation does not exceed the limits of the set corridor," the prime Minister explained.

He said that the government "has succeeded to stabilize prices". Thus, he underlined "in the first quarter of 2008 inflation was 2.5% and it is one of the lowest indexes among CIS countries."
