As a result, only 35% of proven reserves and deposits of 10 kinds of mineral resources (diamonds, tin, tungsten, tantalum, niobium, nickel, boron, magnesium and potassium salts) are involved in today's operation and they are still not developed at all", Asset Isekeshev, Minister of Industry and New technologies said at a government meeting.

According to him, Kazakhstan's share in world reserves of uranium in round figures is 18%, chromium - 10%, lead - 9%, zinc - 8%, silver - 5%, manganese - 5%, copper - 5%.

He noted that today, on average, more than 80% of proven reserves transferred to subsoil users, and in minerals such as hydrocarbons, gold, copper, complex ore, chromium, manganese, nickel, - up to 90-98% of the reserves.
