Price for export products decreased by 37.3 % in I quarter 2009

The prices for export products have decreased by 37.3 % and the prices for import products have increased by 1.6 % in Kazakhstan in I quarter of 2009 in comparison with the similar period of the last year, the agency reports citing the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan Today - The prices for export products have decreased by 37.3 % and the prices for import products have increased by 1.6 % in Kazakhstan in I quarter of 2009 in comparison with the similar period of the last year, the agency reports citing the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan.

According to the Statistics Agency, in March, 2009 in comparison with the beginning of the year, the prices for export products have gone down by 27.9 %, in comparison with the corresponding month of the last year - by 41.4 %, in comparison with the last month - they have increased by 2.3 %. The cost of import products has decreased by 9.2 % in comparison with December, 2008, by 0.7 % - in comparison with March, 2008. The price has grown by 0.1 % in comparison with February, 2009.

According to the statistical data, the prices for wood have gone down by 28 %, footwear - by 17.4 %, paper - by 17.2 %, vegetable oil - by 16.5 %, coffee - by 8 %, tea - by 3.2 %, and sugar - by 1.3 %.
