Russia to lower oil export duties up to $304 - 309 for ton since December 1

Russia will lower export duties on oil since December 1, 2008 up to $304 - 309 for a ton. Vice chairman of Customs Payments Department of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, Alexander Sakovich, informed on Monday, the agency reports referring to RIA RosBusinessConsulting.

Almaty. October 29. Kazakhstan Today - Russia will lower export duties on oil since December 1, 2008 up to $304 - 309 for a ton. Vice chairman of Customs Payments Department of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, Alexander Sakovich, informed on Monday, the agency reports referring to RIA RosBusinessConsulting.

According to A. Sakovich, for the period of monitoring in September-October, 2008 the average price for Urals oil made about $83-84 for a barrel. Thus, $304 - 309 for a ton is a possible marginal level for the new export duty on oil.

According to the representative of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, the export duty on light mineral oil can make $217 - 220 for a ton, on dark - $117 - 119 for a ton.

As it was informed earlier, the export duty on oil in the Russian Federation since October 1, 2008 has been established at $372.2 for a ton. The previous value operating since August 1, 2008, made $495.9 for a ton.
