World market tin price increased up to $15 620 per ton

Almaty. July 31. Kazakhstan Today - World market tin price increased up to record value since 1989, due to world metal deficiency. The average price of cash metal at the London stock exchange (LME) in June made $14 107, for the last days of July - $14 664, and on July 30 the tenders were closed at the level of $15 620 per ton. One of the reasons for the rapid growth of exchange quotations was excess of demand over supply. At the same time the stocks of tin controllable by LME, for the last month increased from 11.8 up to 13.7 thousand tons.

From the beginning of the year, the price for this nonferrous metal has risen by 40 %. Demand for tin in January - June of this year has exceeded supply by 7 thousand tons, basically due to reduction of volume of manufacture in Indonesia.
