World prices for gold reached new historical record

The beginning of 2008 was marked by new records in the market of precious metals - world prices for gold reached a new historical record, the analysts informed.

Almaty. January 8. Kazakhstan Today - The beginning of 2008 was marked by new records in the market of precious metals - world prices for gold reached a new historical record, the analysts informed.

According to Bloomberg agency, trade of futures contracts of gold will officially begin since January 9, 2008 at the Shanghai futures stock exchange - Shanghai Futures Exchange (SFE). If China completely opens the markets, the demand for gold will grow.

The Australian government analytical service of agricultural and raw economy - Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics (ABARE), estimated the situation in the market of gold and forecasted its condition for 2008. According to ABARE forecasts, the major factors influencing rise in prices in this market, remain an opportunity of continuation of the cycle of decrease in the interest rate in the USA, potential reduction by the Central Banks of the shares of the American dollar in the structure of their gold and exchange currency reserves and proceeding uneasiness caused by instability of the situation in the credit and financial markets in the USA.
