At a Government session chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, the National Action Plan for the implementation of the Head of State’s Address "Kazakhstan in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Current Challenges and Their Solutions through Digital Transformation" was reviewed, primeminister.kz reports.
The Prime Minister noted that in his Address, the Head of State instructed to adopt a comprehensive set of systemic measures to transition the country into a new phase of development. The Government has been tasked with specific objectives for introducing digital solutions and artificial intelligence into the economy, agriculture, logistics, and utilities.
The document was presented by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin. The National Action Plan is aimed at strengthening the resilience of the national economy, digitally modernizing its key sectors and public administration, improving the investment climate, and raising citizens’ welfare.
The project consists of 87 measures across 8 areas: investment policy and development of the financial sector, strengthening the industrial framework, giving new impetus to agricultural development, realizing transport, logistics, and tourism potential, modernizing utilities and water infrastructure, entrepreneurship as a driving force of economic growth, development of human capital, and implementing parliamentary reform.
We will take effective measures to implement the President’s strategic initiatives aimed at improving the investment climate, modernizing key industries, increasing government efficiency, and providing social support to those in need. It is necessary to ensure sustainable development of the country through deep digital transformation, economic modernization, and the development of human capital. The National Action Plan for the implementation of the Head of State’s Address presented today fully meets all the set objectives. Senior officials of government bodies must ensure the high-quality and timely execution of the plan’s measures. All financing issues must be resolved promptly," Olzhas Bektenov emphasized.
As a result of the vote, the National Action Plan project was unanimously supported. The Ministry of National Economy, together with the Government Office, was instructed to submit the draft Presidential Decree to the Presidential Administration. Deputy Prime Ministers were assigned responsibility for overseeing and coordinating the implementation of the Plan according to their portfolios.
