Search of bodies of victims of Azerbaijan helicopter crash continue

The search of the bodies of victims of the crash in the Caspian Sea of the helicopter Mi-8 of the state concern Azerbaijan airlines has continued, the state oil company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) informed the agency.

Baku. September 17. Kazakhstan Today - The search of the bodies of victims of the crash in the Caspian Sea of the helicopter Mi-8 of the state concern Azerbaijan airlines has continued, the state oil company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) informed the agency.

Yesterday, at 13.50, the bodies of two more people, victims of the crash of the helicopter Mi-8, were found. They were brought to the coast with the help of vessel Chalgan of the management of Casmorneftflot and transferred to the corresponding structures of the Ministry of Health for identification. Personality of the victims has been established. One of them - the instructor-captain of the crashed helicopter Victor Grichenko and another - the mechanic of the helicopter - Djavid Ibragimov. The search works have been proceeding," SOCAR informs.

The helicopter has been found and brought to the coast.

As it was informed earlier, the helicopter MI-8T, belonging to the airline Azalhelicopter of the state concern Azerbaijan hava yolarry, crashed on October 12, at 21.58 p.m. by local time. According to the Azerbaijan hava yolarry, the crash occurred during evacuation of the patient from the sea derrick platform Hazar-4 of the State oil company of Azerbaijan. 4 members of the crew and 2 passengers were onboard of the helicopter. All of them died.

According to state concern Azerbaijan airlines, the helicopter was at the depth of 20 meters in the sea. By present time four out of six victims have been found, two of them have been identified.

Criminal case has been instituted on the fact of the crash of the helicopter.
