Budapest street to be named after Kazakh capital

There are plans to hold Days of Culture of Kazakhstan in Hungary and Days of Culture of Hungary in Kazakhstan in the future.

Astana. October 22. Kazakhstan Today - A street in Budapest will be named after the capital of Kazakhstan next spring, according to Ambassador of Hungary to Kazakhstan Imre Laslotski.

"It is planned to open an Astana street in Budapest and Budapest street in Astana. Perhaps the opening of the street named after the capital of Kazakhstan will be carried out during the visit of Astana Mayor Imangali Tasmagambetov to our country at the invitation of the Mayor of Budapest, who was here last spring," Laslotski told Trend.az in an interview.

He noted that there are plans to hold Days of Culture of Kazakhstan in Hungary and Days of Culture of Hungary in Kazakhstan in the future.

A rich programme will be prepared in for the visit of the head of the Kazakh capital. It also became known that we will have an exhibition of nomadic people's jewellery, donated to one of Kazakhstan Museums by Astana mayors," the diplomat said.

Laslotski added that today there is a need to expand trade and cultural relations between the two countries. According to him the volume of trade amounted to more than $311 in 2011.

"There's growth dynamics because the figure was around $240 million in 2010. During the first half of this year, trade volume reached $132 million," the diplomat said.
