France is interested in development of long-term cooperation with Kazakhstan. The State Secretary for Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Economics, Industry and Employment of France Ann-Mary Idrak informed during the meeting with the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan on Monday, the agency reports referring to the prime minister's press service.

Almaty. May 21. Kazakhstan Today - France is interested in development of long-term cooperation with Kazakhstan. The State Secretary for Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Economics, Industry and Employment of France Ann-Mary Idrak informed during the meeting with the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan on Monday, the agency reports referring to the prime minister's press service.

A. Idrak arrived in Kazakhstan heading the delegation of the French Republic. The members of the delegation met the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov in Ukimet Uiy where the parties discussed condition and prospects of development of bilateral Kazakhstan-French relations on Monday, the press service informed.

"I think the new foreign economic policy of France carried out concerning Central Asian region and Kazakhstan will shortly yield concrete results," K. Masimov said during the discussion.

The meeting participants noted, "bilateral cooperation is successfully developing in different areas of economy, including energy, transport and space. In these spheres Kazakhstan and French parties consider opportunities of realization of joint projects directed at modernization of the national economy. The intergovernmental commission has worked over a broad range of questions on preparation of bilateral agreements," the message states.
