Joint communique signed by results of session of Council of Prime Ministers of SCO member states

Astana. October 31. Kazakhstan Today - The participants of the session of the Council of Prime Ministers of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) signed joint communique on Thursday, the agency reports.

"The prime mMinisters approved the budget of the organization for 2009 and considered a number of organizational and financial questions of activity of the the SCO operating bodies."

The SCO prime ministers consider it necessary to concentrate efforts on cooperation in the field of creation of stable and predictable conditions for mutual trade and investments and strengthening of market mechanisms.

The signed communiques of the prime ministers have confirmed importance of interaction in the field of prevention of accidents and struggle against their consequences. The next meeting of chairmen of departments of the SCO member states dealing with prevention and liquidation of extreme situations will be held in the first half of 2009.

"Business Council and Interbank Association have been recommended to consider a possibility of joint organization of economic forum of chairmen of the leading business-structures of the SCO member states with participation of the representatives of the countries-observers and partners of dialogue," the communique informs.

"The prime ministers have highly estimated the efforts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on maintenance of successful carrying out of the session of the Council of Prime Ministers and expressed gratitude to the Kazakhstan party for hospitality."

"The next session of the Council of Prime Ministers of the SCO member states will take place in 2009 in the Chinese National Republic," the signed communique states.

SCO includes Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
