Kazakh Foreign Minister to visit Brussels

Astana. October 2. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakh Foreign Minister Kassymzhomart Tokayev is due to pay an official visit to Brussels October 2-5, Kazakh MFA spokesperson Yerzhan Ashikbayev told journalist at a briefing in Astana on Saturday.

Within the framework of his visit K. Tokayev will hold a number of meetings with NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, Secretary General of EU Council, the EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana, European Commission Vice President and Commissioner for Industry Gunter Verheugen, European Commissioner for Trade Peter Mandelson, European Commissioner for External Relations and European Neighbourhood Policy Benita Ferrero-Waldner as well as OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Belgian Foreign Minister Karel De Gucht.

During the negotiations a number of actual questions will be discussed including Kazakhstan's entry into the World Trade Organization and Kazakhstan's presidency over OSCE in 2009.
