Kazakhstan Presented the Unique "Carpet of Peace" in Geneva

At the headquarters of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), within the framework of the International Symposium "Women and Intellectual Property", a presentation of the cultural project of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the Peace Carpet "Road of Peace" - took place. The Symposium brought together predominantly women leaders, experts and innovators from around the world, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.

The project, implemented by the International Academy of Craftsmen "Altyn Orda" under the leadership of Yryza Tursynzada, was presented by Ambassador Kairat Torebayev, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the WTO and other international economic organizations.

The Symposium served as an important platform for discussing the role of women in innovation, intellectual property and the creative economy. Participants paid particular attention to supporting women inventors and entrepreneurs, developing inclusive policies and expanding access to knowledge and technologies.

The presentation of the Peace Carpet generated special interest. In his address, Ambassador Torebayev noted that this is not merely a work of art but a symbol of the unity of cultures and peoples. Today the carpet exceeds 70 metres in length and continues to grow thanks to the participation of craftspeople from different countries. Each of its fragments reflects the unique traditions and history of different peoples.

The Peace Carpet 'Road of Peace' is a symbol of peace, mutual understanding and cultural diversity. It unites people through art," Ambassador Torebayev emphasized.

In recognition of WIPO's contribution to the development of innovation and the support of women, one of the new fragments of the carpet will be dedicated to this organization.

The presentation of the project organically complemented the agenda of the Symposium, highlighting the significant role of women in shaping the modern knowledge economy. Support for women in the field of intellectual property is regarded as an important factor of sustainable development and equal opportunity.

Kazakhstan reaffirmed its commitment to developing international cooperation in the field of intellectual property, culture and creative industries.
