Moscow to host SCO session

Moscow will host the session of Council of Foreign Ministers of the member states of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) on May, 15th, the agency reports citing the message of the official site of representation of the Russian Federation in SCO.

Almaty. May 12. Kazakhstan Today - Moscow will host the session of Council of Foreign Ministers of the member states of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) on May, 15th, the agency reports citing the message of the official site of representation of the Russian Federation in SCO.

"The Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, will take part in the session of Council of Foreign Ministers of the SCO member states on May, 15th, 2009 in Moscow," the message informs.

"The session participants will discuss the questions of preparation of the session of Council of leaders of the SCO member states in June of 2009 in Ekaterinburg, which will sum up the Russian presidency in the organization in 2008 - 2009. "The Ministers will consider the projects of the declaration, the joint communique, and other final documents of the summit," the message informs.

"Foreign Ministers will discuss prospects of further development of the organization, strengthening of contacts with other international associations and the states and will exchange opinions on various aspects of the situation in the region and in the world," SCO Russian representation informs.

SCO includes Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. India, Iran, Mongolia, and Pakistan are the countries observers.
