Prime Minister of Kazakhstan and France discussed questions of bilateral cooperation

Astana. February 8. Kazakhstan Today - The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov and France Francois Fillon discussed the questions of bilateral cooperation today in Astana, the agency reports.

"We discussed a wide range of questions of cooperation between France and Kazakhstan, European Union and Central Asia. During the meeting of two presidents the governments of two countries were given concrete assignments realized today," the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan K. Masimov said.

He reminded that "two days ago the President of Kazakhstan set the objective for the government to develop the program Way to Europe.

Masimov said that the parties discussed a number of international questions "as France will preside in the second half of the year in European Union and Kazakhstan - in OSCE in 2010."

"In the economic sphere we discussed a lot of questions important for France and Kazakhstan. These are the questions of cooperation in energy sphere, guaranteed responsible supplier of hydrocarbons to Europe, in particular, to France. We discussed the issues of mutual cooperation in the field of transport, in particular, railway, joint cooperation in the field of atomic engineering, defense industry, cooperation in the field of tourism and sports, education and cultural development," K. Masimov said.
