WHO, UNICEF representatives to visit Kazakhstan - MFA
Astana. October 14. Kazakhstan Today - The representatives of World Health Organization and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) will visit Kazakhstan. The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Ashikbayev, informed on Monday during the briefing, the agency reports.
"General Director of World Health Organization, Margaret Chan, and UNICEF Executive Director, Ann Veneman, will visit Kazakhstan on October 14-16," Y. Ashikbayev said.
"During the planned meetings with the country leaders WHO and UNICEF representatives discussed the pressing questions within the limits of interaction of Kazakhstan with WHO and UNICEF and the prospect of further cooperation.
"Margaret Chan and Ann Veneman will take part in the international conference devoted to 30-year anniversary of Almaty Declaration on the primary medico sanitary help, which will take place on October 15-16 in Almaty and will hold global presentation of WHO World Report on the condition of public health services," the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs concluded.
