Government introduced bill on cotton industry development

Astana. May 15. Kazakhstan Today – The Government introduced the bill to the Parliament on cotton industry development. Kazakh PM Daniyal Akhmetov signed the decree on Friday, the President’s press service informs.

The bill stipulates legal, economic and organizational bases of activity and regulates the relations arising during manufacture, processing, storage and realization of cotton in the country.

Adoption of the law will allow agricultural products manufacturers to expand access to cheaper financial resources by creation of cotton receipts system between cotton market participants. The law will also allow raising quality of raw material on the basis of competition and creating stimulus for integration of cotton production with textile and food branches of the light industry.
