IPA CIS representatives to visit Georgian-Ossetian conflict zone

The representatives of Inter Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS member states (IPA CIS) will visit the zone of Georgian-Ossetian conflict today, the agency reports referring to the press service of IPA CIS.

Almaty. August 15. Kazakhstan Today - The representatives of Inter Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS member states (IPA CIS) will visit the zone of Georgian-Ossetian conflict today, the agency reports referring to the press service of IPA CIS.

According to the press service, the group of representatives will visit South Ossetia by the order of the chairman of the IPA CIS Council, Sergey Mironov, to study the situation there.

According to the press service, members of the Parliament of some of the countries of the Commonwealth will visit the places of accommodation of refugees, hospitals and will analyze the situation in the region of conflict in order to assist in granting humanitarian aid to the victims and objectively inform the members of IPA CIS.

According to the Russian mass media, the group includes representatives of the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Belarus.
