During the visit to Vienna, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yermek Kosherbayev held a meeting with President of the National Council of the Austrian Parliament Walter Rosenkranz, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
During the talks parties discussed the state and prospects of Kazakh-Austrian relations, deepening partnership with the European Union and engagement within the OSCE.
Minister Kosherbayev noted the stable development of bilateral cooperation and underscored the importance of further expansion of ties in various fields.
Austrian side highly appreciated the intensification of political dialogue between Kazakhstan and the EU and Astana’s constructive position on international agenda topics.
The sides agreed to intensify bilateral interparliamentary cooperation and to promote regular high-level engagements.

Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry Expresses Condolences to Iran

Kazakh President voices solidarity with Bahrain

The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, held a telephone conversation with the King of Bahrain, Sheikh Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, on Monday, Qazinform News Agency reports, citing the Akorda press service.
Discussing the current situation in the Middle East with Sheikh Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed his support and solidarity with the brotherly people of Bahrain in this challenging period.
The Kazakh President voiced concern regarding missile attacks on civilian infrastructure in Bahrain and other nations not involved in the conflict with Iran.
The Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, emphasized that Kazakhstan advocates for de-escalation and the peaceful resolution of the conflict through dialogue and diplomacy.
In turn, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa thanked the President of Kazakhstan for his unwavering support and reaffirmed Bahrain's commitment to further expanding bilateral cooperation, with a focus on trade, economic, and investment ties.
The two leaders confirmed their dedication to strengthening the friendship and partnership between Kazakhstan and Bahrain. They wished the brotherly peoples of the two countries peace, well-being, and prosperity during the holy month of Ramadan.

Constitutional Reforms in Kazakhstan Were Discussed in Egypt

Embassy of Kazakhstan in Egypt organized an iftar for representatives of local intellectual communities, scientists from Al-Azhar University, experts, business and Egyptian media, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
During the event, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Egypt Askar Zhengis informed the Egyptian public about large-scale constitutional reforms carried out in Kazakhstan with the aim of creating a more efficient and transparent system of public administration.
A. Zhengis spoke about the upcoming nationwide referendum on March 15, 2026 on the adoption of the new Constitution of Kazakhstan, which will differ fundamentally both in terms of structure and content.
In addition, the participants of the event were informed that the new Constitution now includes such important issues as the transition to a unicameral Parliament, the introduction of the institution of the Vice President, as well as the strengthening of the rule of law and the strengthening of the protection of the basic rights of citizens, etc.
In turn, representatives of the Egyptian side actively participated in the discussion of political changes taking place in Kazakhstan, highly appreciating their importance.
Following the event, the sides expressed interest in conducting joint work aimed at promoting the development of bilateral relations.

Expressing concern over the escalating situation in the Middle East, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev conveyed his sincere respect, support and solidarity to the leadership and the people of the United Arab Emirates. He noted with regret that civilian infrastructure had been damaged during the military attack on the UAE, akorda.kz reports.
Kazakhstan regards the United Arab Emirates as a friendly and brotherly nation and stands ready to provide assistance, should the need arise," - President Tokayev stated.
The Head of State emphasized that attacks on civilian facilities in the UAE, as well as in other Gulf countries, deserve strong condemnation.
In turn, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed appreciation for Kazakhstan’s support and conveyed his gratitude for the country’s readiness to assist in addressing the current international crisis.
During the call, the two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening Kazakh-Emirati relations of friendship and strategic partnership. Mongolian Scholars Advocate Strengthening Partnership with Kazakhstan

Mongolia’s Academy of Sciences hosted, for the first time, a public lecture by Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Mongolia, Almas Seitakynov, focusing on Kazakhstan’s contemporary development and the prospects for deepening Kazakh-Mongolian cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
The event was attended by the President of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, Sodnomsambuu Demberel, alongside more than 90 representatives of the academic and educational community, including heads of universities and research centres, researchers, and members of the local media.
In his address, the Ambassador briefed the audience on Kazakhstan’s key political and economic reforms being implemented at the initiative of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. He underlined that the constitutional changes are aimed at strengthening the rule of law, modernising public administration, and widening citizens’ participation in decision-making.
A. Seitakynov noted that Kazakhstan continues to post steady economic growth while consolidating its role as one of Central Asia’s leading transit hubs. He highlighted priorities including economic modernisation, the expansion of transport and logistics infrastructure, digital transformation, and improving the investment climate.
A substantial part of the lecture was devoted to education and scientific collaboration. Kazakhstan’s universities currently host more than 35,000 international students, including around 1,200 from Mongolia. Each year, the Government of Kazakhstan awards 25 educational scholarships to Mongolian students. The Ambassador outlined promising areas for cooperation ranging from trade and agriculture to logistics and digital technologies, as well as joint research in ecology, water resource management and agricultural science.
He also reviewed the state of bilateral relations, pointing to the positive momentum in political dialogue, the growth of trade and economic ties, and stronger humanitarian links. Participants were additionally briefed on preparations for the Regional Environmental Summit 2026, envisaged as an open platform for developing practical responses to pressing climate and environmental challenges.
The lecture concluded with an exchange of views, during which members of Mongolia’s scientific community expressed interest in expanding academic exchanges and expert cooperation with Kazakh partners.
