Kazakhstan by improving election process can become model for other countries.

Astana. November 7. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan by improving election process can become model for other countries. The director of OSCE bureau of democratic institutes and human rights Christian Shtrohal said during the meeting with the chairman of the president's administration Adilbek Dzhaksybekov, the agency reports referring to the president's press service.

"The example of Kazakhstan on improvement of election process can become model for other countries," OSCE/ODIHR chairman said. The main purpose of his visit to our country is presentation of the final report of OSCE/ODIHR mission on supervision over parliamentary elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan, which took place on August 18, 2007 and discussion of the questions of further cooperation.

OSCE/ODIHR chairman noted that the observers of the mission had positively estimated the efforts on maintenance of control over observance of the norms of the elective legislation, training of participants of elective process, granting to the parties participating in the elections opportunities for propaganda among voters of the electoral programs.

He expressed gratitude "for open and wide cooperation of all state bodies with the missions of observers from the international organizations."
