Kazakhstan has developed the program of assistance to Afghanistan. The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, said during III Ministerial meeting of Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICMA) on Monday, the agency reports.

Almaty. August 26. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan has developed the program of assistance to Afghanistan. The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, said during III Ministerial meeting of Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICMA) on Monday, the agency reports.

"The government of Kazakhstan has developed a special program of help to Afghanistan. Funds have been allocated for restoration of roads, schools, hospitals, and professional training," N. Nazarbayev informed.

He emphasized that the situation in Afghanistan still causes high concern. "This long-suffering country has become the center of international drug industry," the President of Kazakhstan said.

The leader of the state noted that it is necessary to undertake efforts for transition of Afghanistan to a peaceful life, for restoration of the destroyed economy. "It is encouraging that CICMA member states have initiated to assist Afghanistan as the participant of our forum," N. Nazarbayev said.
