Kazakhstan PM held number of meetings in Astana

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov held a number of meetings on Wednesday in Astana, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan press service informed the agency.

Astana. September 20. Kazakhstan Today - The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov held a number of meetings on Wednesday in Astana, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan press service informed the agency.

K. Masimov met the Prime Minister, a well-known businessman, Mohammed Al-Fayed. During the meeting the parties discussed large investment projects of Kazakhstan directed at industrially innovative development and modernization of the national economy.

According to the press service, M. Al-Fayed expressed the interest in studying investment potential of Kazakhstan in the spheres of housing construction, transport-logistical centers, highways, medical centers and clinics, and development of educational infrastructure.

In the second half of the day, Karim Masimov held the meeting with the President, the Managing Director of Thales International Company Jean-Paul Perrier. During the meeting the prospects of development of industrial production of professional electronics, information-technological and space systems in Kazakhstan have been discussed.

The Prime Minister also held the meeting with the Ambassador of Singapore to Kazakhstan Sim Cheok Lim. The interlocutors discussed questions of activization of bilateral cooperation in commerce and economic sphere and joint realization of the investment projects.
