Kazakhstan, Singapore ratified agreement on avoidance of double taxation

Astana. May 29. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev signed the law on ratification of the agreement between the government of Kazakhstan and the government of Singapore on avoidance of double taxation and prevention of deviation from taxation concerning income taxes and the Protocol to it," the agency reports referring to the president's press service.

As it was informed earlier, the purpose of the agreement is avoidance of double taxation of physical and legal persons - residents of both states and the exchange of data and documents, experience exchange, carrying out of investigations and use of the received data and documents.

According to the document, information interchange on any kind of taxes is confidential. The representatives of the competent bodies of both states can carry out mutual consultations regarding avoidance of double taxation in cases not stipulated by the agreement.

The agreement was signed in Singapore on September 19, 2006.
