Majilis approved bill on international automobile communication with Georgia

The Majilis deputies approved the bill on ratification of the agreement between the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the government of Georgia on international automobile communication at the plenary session on Wednesday.

Astana. October 18. Kazakhstan Today - The Majilis deputies approved the bill on ratification of the agreement between the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the government of Georgia on international automobile communication at the plenary session on Wednesday.

"The purpose of the present agreement is creation of the legal basis for further development of cooperation in the field of international automobile communication and simplification of realization of automobile transportation between Kazakhstan and Georgia," the conclusion of the Majilis committee for international affairs, defense and safety states.

The agreement regulates "transportation of passengers and cargoes in international automobile communication between Kazakhstan and Georgia, transit through their territories, as well as transportations in (from) the third countries of the carriers allowed to performance of such transportations."

"The regulations of the agreement provide introduction of preferential systems on the international auto transportation of cargoes in the bilateral communication and transit travel on the territories of the states of the parties - participants of the agreement, as well as transportation in (from) the third," the conclusion of the Majilis committee states.

The agreement was signed in Astana on March 6, 2007.

The bill has been forwarded to the Senate.
