Astana. May 27. Kazakhstan Today - The deputy of Majilis of Parliament of Kazakhstan, Iraq Elekeev, at the plenary Majilis session suggested forbidding abortions in Kazakhstan. His deputy inquiry has been addressed to the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, the agency reports.

"Children - our happiness. Therefore, we should have many children. This wish completely corresponds to the objective of the leader of our nation on the demographic growth of the country stated at yesterday's session of the Security Council. N. Nazarbayev said that we need to realize an active policy to achieve the goals formulated in the strategic development plan of the country until 2020," I. Elekeev said.

"We must legislatively forbid abortions as was demanded this spring at the mass actions by the Spanish women. They have opposed the law accepted in this country allowing abortions," the deputy said.
