Masimov set objective to speed up work on modernization of state mass media

"It is necessary to continue the work on modernization of public mass media and increase of competitiveness of the local media market," the Prime Minister said. "Considering dynamical changes in the global information market, it is important to realize the plans on transition of the national electronic mass media to digital technologies, to create all the necessary conditions for manufacture of our own high-quality teleproducts and professional growth of the creative workers," K. Masimov considers.

The Prime Minister emphasized, "it is strategically important to systematically increase Kazakhstan content in the world network of the Internet."

"The Ministry of Culture and Information should continue work on positioning itself as the standard of information openness and accessibility for the society. Using all necessary resources (mass-media, the Internet, publishing base), the ministry should become popularizer of all state programs in Kazakhstan.
