NATO Parliamentary Assembly interested in expansion of cooperation with Kazakhstan Parliament

Astana. June 10. Kazakhstan Today - NATO Parliamentary Assembly is interested in expansion of cooperation with Kazakhstan Parliament. NATO Parliamentary Assembly chairman Jose Lello stated today during the meeting with the Speaker of Kazakhstan Senate of the Parliament, the agency reports.

"I have arrived to establish contacts, in particular with the Parliament of Kazakhstan and to carry on active all-round dialogue," J. Lello stated.

He emphasized "that Kazakhstan is the important country in Central Asia. "You differ from many countries in this region in many directions," he noted.

The Speaker of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev emphasized "that Kazakhstan is the unique country in Central Asia that has the status of observer in NATO Parliamentary Assembly."
