President of Kazakhstan met Russian Foreign Minister

The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, met the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, the agency reports.

Astana. February 22. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, met the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, the agency reports.

According to the Russian Foreign Minister, who said, following the results of the meeting in an interview to journalists, during the meeting with the President of Kazakhstan, the Ministers for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federations talked about the results of today's negotiations, "which have been devoted to working out of the practical steps towards realization of the arrangements reached at the presidents' level."

S. Lavrov explained that these arrangements concern mutual relations of Kazakhstan and Russia and participation of the states in various multilateral structures.

He reminded that Russia this year presides in the CIS and Kazakhstan - in OSCE. "Our countries joined CSTO, EurAsEC, and are creating the Customs Union with Belorussia," S. Lavrov reminded.

"We have agreed on the practical steps which will provide success of the presidency of Kazakhstan in OSCE and Russia in the CIS," S. Lavrov noted.
