Representatives of CSTO countries to discuss CFE situation and development of new Contract on European Security

Representatives of foreign policy departments of Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member states will discuss on October 21 in Moscow the situation of the Treaty of Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE) and development of the Contract of European Security, the agency reports referring to the press service of CSTO Secretariat.

Moscow. October 21. Kazakhstan Today - Representatives of foreign policy departments of Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member states will discuss on October 21 in Moscow the situation of the Treaty of Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE) and development of the Contract of European Security, the agency reports referring to the press service of CSTO Secretariat.

"Consultations were the first practical steps of the CSTO member states in the joined work over the Contract of European Security. The initiative of the Russian Federation on development of this document of the CSTO member states was supported during the Moscow session of the organization taken place last September of 2008," the press service informs.

According to the press service, the consultations will be held at the level of directors of profile departments of the Ministries for Foreign Affairs of the member states of the organization under the presidency of the CSTO Assistant Secretary General, Valery Semerikov.
