Senate approved bill ratifying protocol on order of coming into force of international contracts directed at formation of legal and contractual base of Customs Union

During the plenary session deputies of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan unanimously approved the bill of the Republic of Kazakhstan on ratification of the Protocol on the order of coming into force of the international contracts directed at formation of legal and contractual base of Customs Union on Thursday, the agency reports.

Astana. September 12. Kazakhstan Today - During the plenary session deputies of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan unanimously approved the bill of the Republic of Kazakhstan on ratification of the Protocol on the order of coming into force of the international contracts directed at formation of legal and contractual base of Customs Union on Thursday, the agency reports.

"The bill is developed taking into account establishment of the uniform order of coming into force of the international agreements directed at completion of formation of Customs Union, withdrawal and joining it," Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Anatoly Smirnov, said presenting the bill.

As it was informed earlier, the protocol establishes the order of coming into force of the international agreements forming legal base of Customs Union by accepting the decision of Interstate Council - the supreme body of this union.

The list of the international contracts making legal and contractual base of Customs Union consists of 2 parts: "international agreements operating within the limits of EurAsEC and international agreements directed at completion of legal and contractual base of Customs Union."

The protocol is open for joining to any other EurAsEC member states provided that a joining state expresses consent to obligations of all international contracts included in the second part of the list.

The protocol was signed in Dushanbe on October 6, 2007.

The bill has been forwarded to the leader of the state to be signed into law.
