State Office of Public Prosecutor of Belarus received inquiry from Bishkek on Bakiev's extradition

The State Office of Public Prosecutor of Belarus has received an inquiry from Bishkek regarding extradition of the ex-president of Kyrgyzstan, Kurmanbek Bakiev. The chief of Information and Public Relations Department of the State Office of Public Prosecutor of Belorussia, Peter Kiselyov, informed, the agency reports citing ITAR-TASS.

Almaty. May 12. Kazakhstan Today - The State Office of Public Prosecutor of Belarus has received an inquiry from Bishkek regarding extradition of the ex-president of Kyrgyzstan, Kurmanbek Bakiev. The chief of Information and Public Relations Department of the State Office of Public Prosecutor of Belorussia, Peter Kiselyov, informed, the agency reports citing ITAR-TASS.

"The inquiry has just been received and will be considered by the leadership of the country," he said. "The inquiry has been received by fax. "It is a three-page text," P. Kiselyov said. The representative of the State Office of Public Prosecutor also informed that the appendix, a package of documents - about pages 20, should arrive.

As informed earlier, the provisional government of Kyrgyzstan, by the special decree, charged the State Office of Public Prosecutor to extradite the ousted president K. Bakiev home and to press charges against him. K. Bakiev has been deprived the status of the ex-president and inviolability as "he made the decision to shoot peaceful citizens."

At the moment, K. Bakiev is in Minsk, where the head of Belarus, A. Lukashenko, promised him a political asylum.
