Vladimir Putin to become prime minister on May 8

Vladimir Putin confirmed that he would become the head of the government of the Russian Federation after completion of his presidential term at the IX congress of the Russian political party Unified Russia, the agency reports.

Moscow. April 16. Kazakhstan Today - Vladimir Putin confirmed that he would become the head of the government of the Russian Federation after completion of his presidential term at the IX congress of the Russian political party Unified Russia, the agency reports.

"I accepted Dmitry Medvedev offer, supported by Unified Russia and other parties, to be the head of the government of the Russian Federation during the terms stipulated in the Constitution," Putin, said addressing the congress of the Unified Russia.

The candidature of V. Putin for the post of prime minister will be introduced officially on May 7, on the day of inauguration of the elected President of the country Dmitry Medvedev. The State Duma of the Russian Federation plans to approve him on the post of the head of the government on May 8 at the special session.

Putin gave his consent to become the prime minister of the Russian Federation at the congress of the Russian political party Unified Russia, where the first vice-premier of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev was officially nominated for the president's post.
