Anniversary session of Interstate Council for Antimonopoly Policy to take place in Astana with participation of RK PM

Anniversary XVIII session of the Interstate Council for Antimonopoly Policy with participation of Kazakhstan Prime Minister, Karim Masimov, will take place in Astana on October 1-2, the agency reports referring to the press service of Kazakhstan Agency on Competition Protection.

Kazakhstan Today - Anniversary XVIII session of the Interstate Council for Antimonopoly Policy with participation of Kazakhstan Prime Minister, Karim Masimov, will take place in Astana on October 1-2, the agency reports referring to the press service of Kazakhstan Agency on Competition Protection.

According to the press service, ex-chairman of antimonopoly body of the Republic, RK Parliament deputies, representatives of the state bodies, as well as representatives of antimonopoly departments of Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan are invited to the session. Chairmen of antimonopoly body of Romania will take part in the session as observers.

It will be the third session held in Kazakhstan. At the session the participants will discuss the questions following the results of monitoring of the countries' markets of cement, services in telecommunication sphere, food, turnover of mineral oil and the questions of railway transportation reform in the CIS states.

"Antimonopoly bodies of the CIS countries conduct joint investigations of anticompetitive practice of the companies acting at the international markets of the CIS states.

The Interstate Council for Antimonopoly Policy was founded on the basis of the Contract on carrying out of the coordinated antimonopoly policy of December 23, 1993.
