Berlin to host VI session of Kazakh-German intergovernmental commission

Astana. October 31. Kazakhstan Today - On October 30-31 Berlin will host the 6th session of Kazakh-German intergovernmental commission concerning ethnic Germans living in Kazakhstan. Kazakh MFA official representative Yerzhan Ashikbayev informed today at the briefing, the agency reports.

According to Y. Ashikbayev, the commission session will be headed by the co-chairmen - Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Nurlan Onzhanov and the representative of immigrants and national minorities affairs of the government of Germany, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Germany, the Bundestag deputy Christopher Bergner.

"At the session the participants will debate the questions regarding realization of social projects in support of citizens of Kazakhstan of German nationality," Y. Ashikbayev said.

Following the results of the commission work, it is planned to sign the report on amendments and additions in the agreement between the governments of two countries on cooperation in support of citizens of Kazakhstan of German nationality from May 31, 1996.
