Cargo ship Progress М-64 being prepared for launch at Baikonur

Cargo space ship Progress М-64 is being prepared at Baikonur, the agency reports referring to a source at the space center.

Baikonur. May 8. Kazakhstan Today - Cargo space ship Progress М-64 is being prepared at Baikonur, the agency reports referring to a source at the space center.

Specialists of the space center are conducting final stage of preparation of cargo space ship checking the systems of the space ship in the assembly-testing house of the platform №254.

The space ship Progress of М-64 in the nearest days will be transported to the assembly-testing house of the platform №112, where the rocket-carrier Souyz-U intended for launch of the cargo ship will be assembled on May 12.

The carrier rocket Soyuz-U with the cargo space ship Progress М-64 will be launched to the International Space Station (ISS) with cargo for the crew of the 17th expedition from the starting complex №5 of the platform №1 on May, 15 at 02.22 Astana time (00.22 Moscow time).

The cargo space ship Progress М-64 will deliver to ISS about 2.5 ton of cargo: fuel for maintenance of orbit of the station, food, water, scientific equipment, and daily stuff for the crew of the cosmonauts of the 17th expedition launched to ISS on April 8.
