Astana. February 21. Kazakhstan Today - HIV indices have grown by 2.7 since 2003 in Astana. The Director of the department of public health services of Astana Temirlan Karibekov informed on Tuesday, the agency reports.
"Analyzing the causes for this growth, we have come to conclusion that 59 % of inhabitants come from other regions of the Republic and abroad having migrated to Astana," T. Karibekov noted.
"At the same time it is necessary to recognize the other facts of omissions of rendering medical service connected with HIV that came to light in Astana and have been revealed during complex checks of the State Office of Public Prosecutor," he added.
