HIV localization in South Kazakhstan statement premature

Shymkent. November 27. Kazakhstan Today - The statement regarding localization of HIV-infection in South-Kazakhstan oblast is premature, the Director of the regional department of public health services in South Kazakhstan Vyacheslav Dudnik considers.

"The Ministry of Health last week stated the center of HIV-infection is considered localized, but, I think, we do not need to hurry up with saying we have localized it," V. Dudnik said at the session of the regional staff on struggle against HIV on Thursday.

For today there is one more HIV-infected revealed - 14-year-old teenager. The child was receiving treatment in the regional children's hospital where he contacted children with HIV-infection. The contact list covered only children till five years old.

For today in South Kazakhstan 81 HIV-infected children have been registered, eight children died.
