Kazakhstan allots up to KZT100bn to combat extremism and terrorism

The amount of 42.8 billion tenges was allocated for 2019.
The 2019-2021 budget involves expenses of Kazakhstan's security forces to combat religious extremism and terrorism for the amount of 114.9 billion tenges.

In general, over the three-year period Kazakhstan's security forces are provided with costs for further implementing the programme for combatting religious extremism and terrorism for 2018-2023 totalling 114.9 billion tenges, of which 42.8 billion tenges - for 2019," said Acting Finance Minister of Kazakhstan Berik Sholpankulov during the presentation of a 2019-2021 republican budget in the Majilis.


It was reported that Turkestan region's governmental agencies would be given 2.4 billion tenges to move to Turkestan.
