According to the press service, launch of the carrier rocket Proton-M with the Canadian satellite Nimiq-4 postponed. A component malfunction was detected in the LV control system during on-pad tests. Launch of the carrier rocket is now scheduled for the planned reserve day. Launch of the carrier rocket Proton-M with the space satellite Nimiq-4 is planned for September 20 at 03.44 Astana time.

As it was informed earlier, satellite Nimiq-4 is constructed on the basis of satellite platform Eurostar E3000 by the European company EADS Astrium and intended for work in a geosteady-state orbit. КА Nimiq-4 belongs to Telesat Canada - to the national Canadian company of the satellite communication providing data transmission and rendering service of propagation of a broadcast in Northern America.

The satellite Nimiq-4 was constructed on the basis of satellite platform Eurostar E3000 by the European company EADS Astrium and intended for work in the geosteady-state orbit.
