"The Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, created by the initiative of the head of state, became a unique mechanism of intercultural and interethnic dialogue, an effective tool of national diplomacy, interaction of the state and the civil society. Owing to these measures, a special model of trust and tolerance, solidarity and mutual understanding between all the ethnoses has been created in Kazakhstan.

"Kazakhstan nowadays has faced a new challenge, first of all, connected with the influence of the global economic crisis. Overcoming the consequences of the crisis and successful post-crisis development are impossible without unity of the society."

"The President of Kazakhstan has proposed a strategically important initiative - acceptance of the Doctrine of National Unity. Maintenance of national unity will guarantee safety and independence of the state, realization of the strategic priorities of its social, economic, and political development. It is a basis of our future, the main factor for progress and stable development."
