Preparation for launch of Proton-M with three Russian navigating satellites Glonass-M coming to an end

Preparation for launch of the carrier rocket Proton-M with three Russian navigating satellites Glonass-M at Baikonur is coming to an end, the agency reports referring to the press service of Federal Space Agency.

Baikonur. September 16. Kazakhstan Today - Preparation for launch of the carrier rocket Proton-M with three Russian navigating satellites Glonass-M at Baikonur is coming to an end, the agency reports referring to the press service of Federal Space Agency.

According to the press service, "preparation of three space satellites Glonass-M has been completed. The devices have been integrated into the uniform block that was joined with the booster block on September 13 in the assembly test complex №92-50.

Launch of three space satellites Glonass-M with the help of the carrier rocket Proton-M is planned for September 25, 2008.

Space vehicles Glonass-M were created in Reshetnikov Information Satellite Systems Company. They will expand orbital group of satellites of the Russian Global Navigation Satellite System (GLONASS).
