Pulling down of houses in Karasau settlement suspended

Almaty. February 21. Kazakhstan Today - Pulling down of houses in Karasau settlement, where 13 families live, has been suspended, the resident of Karasau settlement Abduvali Toktoniyazov informed the agency.

As it was informed earlier, judicial executors of all regions of Almaty and the representatives of the city akimat (nearly 50 people arrived at Karasau settlement in the morning to evict the inhabitants.

As it was informed earlier, the inhabitants of these houses have the decisions signed by the akim of Zhetysus region in July - September, 1998, on allocation of the land plots for individual housing construction. In 2005 the assistant akim of Almaty Yacob Zayats promised Karasau inhabitants to legalize housing constructions.

In the beginning of 2006, the inhabitants wrote the letters, concerning registration of their rights to the land plots to the land commission and the commission on legalization of property twice, but they were rejected. In June, 2006 these land plots were sold from auction by city authorities of Abazhur Company for 70 million tenge for construction of trading-municipal object.

However, according to Karasau inhabitants, despite of a special-purpose designation, Abazhur Company after registration of the property right displayed the land plot for sale at the start price of $ 7 million.
