Tax laws in connection with introduction to Customs Union not to be changed
Astana. October 22. Kazakhstan Today - The tax laws of Kazakhstan in connection with introduction to the Customs Union will not be changed. Vice Minister of Industry and Commerce of Kazakhstan, Zhanar Aytzhanova, informed today during the press conference in Astana, the agency reports.
"There will be no changes in the tax laws, as, within the Customs Union, they have the right to apply various levels of tax rates. VAT, as of today, is at the lowest level. We do not harmonize taxes, we harmonize customs duties rates, which will be applied in the Customs Union," Z. Aytzhanova said.

Oil spill detected in Caspian Sea
According to space monitoring data, received from Sentinel-1A (02:43 UTC), an oil spill was detected on March 30 in the area of Kashagan field in the Caspian Sea. The spill area is about 7 square kilometers. The spill was drifting to the north of the Caspian Sea," the publication reads.
If these facts are confirmed by Atyrau region’s Ecology Department, unscheduled inspection will be conducted at the North Caspian Operating Company. The results will be reported additionally," the Ecology Committee says.
