Cumulative assets of commercial banks increased by 1.8 %

Cumulative assets of the banks of second level in Kazakhstan in 2008 increased by 214.7 billion KZT, or by 1.8 %, the agency reports citing the report of the Agency for Regulation and Supervision of the Financial Market and Financial Organizations.

Almaty. January 26. Kazakhstan Today - Cumulative assets of the banks of second level in Kazakhstan in 2008 increased by 214.7 billion KZT, or by 1.8 %, the agency reports citing the report of the Agency for Regulation and Supervision of the Financial Market and Financial Organizations.

According to the agency, as of January, 1st, 2009, the cumulative assets of the banks of the second level have been 11 899.3 billion KZT, having decreased within a month by 53.3 billion KZT, or by 0.4 %.

As of January, 1st, 2009, the cumulative balance of the capital of the banking sector has been 1 953.9 billion KZT, having increased within a month by 15.2 billion KZT, or by 0.8 %. Thus, the increase for 2008 has been 173.7 billion KZT, or 9.8 %.
