World prices for oil went down on November 26

The prices for oil in the world markets on Friday, November 26, went down in the backgound of the increase of the US dollar exchange rate and concerns over that growth of debt crisis in Europe will lead to the decrease in rates of economic growth in the region and demand for oil, Bloomberg informs.

Kazakhstan Today - The prices for oil in the world markets on Friday, November 26, went down in the backgound of the increase of the US dollar exchange rate and concerns over that growth of debt crisis in Europe will lead to the decrease in rates of economic growth in the region and demand for oil, Bloomberg informs.

The official cost of the January futures contract (settlement) of Brent Crude Futures at the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) within the last trading day went down on November 26 from $86.10 to $85.58 per barrel.

The official cost of the January futures contract (settlement) on the American Light Sweet Crude Oil (WTI) at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) within the last trading day decreased from $84.24 to $83.76 per barrel.

The price of the OPEC Reference Basket on November 25 increased from $81.16 up to $82.55 per barrel.
